It's as hard this year as it was the last two years to write and think the words and numerals two thousand. But like it or not, here we are -- anno domino, 2002. I won't look back on how we exited the year 2001; many of us have already done that. So, instead of looking backwards, we would rather look forward and tell you of things to come, at least in our small world here, in the editorial office of PressPoints NetNews.

First, you will see a new face on PressPoints. Yep, we have revamped it again. Our Creative Director, Laurel Smith has had some refreshing ideas hit her these last few months and she was anxious to try them out on you, our audience. She will be more than happy to entertain your critiques as well as receive your kudos. Mad Duck's Humor Farm publishes only six months out of the year and the first issue for 2002 is due out next month. We have had rave reviews on last year's issues and working with THE MAD DUCK on his upcoming issues have kept me in QUACK-QUACKS this last month. In the READING ROOM, under Travelogues, we will start a new series simply titled Ma'laga. Eventually it will become a supplement to The Oedipus Syndrome, our first E-Novel offered in a series of five E-Books. Already published and offered in the Microsoft Reader format on two of our partnering websites is the first two E-Books of the series.

Again, we congratulate ourselves on reaching our first anniversary. Looking back on it, I will agree with the staff that it has been a bumpy road, at times easy for us all to come up with newer, fresher ideas and feature stories, at other times downright hard. But, all in all, we feel that it has been a year well worth it and satisfying enough to commit ourselves to 4pointspress.com for another year.

Again, we would like to thank our readers for their loyalty and support and we want to take this opportunity to say how pleased we are at the consistency of the e-mail responses to our PressPoints features. The contributions, stories as well as tidbits, opinions, critical as well as commentary, anecdotes, which are both personal and general, all are taken seriously here and they are greatly appreciated. We hope you all stay with us in the coming year and that your numbers grow as we grow.
