We, here at PressPoints have had a very active month with sometimes gratifying days when everything went right and on schedule, and sometimes unsatisfying days, when everything, according to Murphy's Laws, went wrong. But, all in all, we came to the end of the month on an upswing looking forward to a near release date of our first major literary publishing effort, "The Oedipus Syndrome", which will be coupled with the entire novella, "The Emigrant", and will include the not yet published fourth and final chapter.
For those of you new to 4pointspress.com, CLICK HERE to read an excerpt from Chapter One, which starts off Book One, Part One. Also by CLICKING HERE you can read the first three chapters of "The Emigrant" and his exodus from his beloved Sicily, as he starts or ends his life, however you view his story.
While some of our contributing writers are on vacation, we have been fortunate to have others we know fill in for them. Covering for Cliff Evans, of NUGGETS n' NOTHINGS, is S. Ben Piazza, our author who travels with his family through Sicily, in "Sicily and Sicilians". He and his friends entertain us with their quipetts, while I have taken on the daunting task of writing for the HERE n' NOW feature substituting for Garry Minstone.
We have had loads of E-mail that both lauds and criticizes all, and sometimes each, of our articles and story publications. We welcome all comments. While we don't see you, it assures us that you are indeed out there. It feels to us as though we are looking into the eye of a camera; we can't see you looking at us. Keep your E-mails floating our way. We love receiving them, no matter their content. Again I reiterate; we will try to get as many of you on-line and heard as time and space will allow.
The logos and format of PressPoints NetNews, and the feature segments and by-lines of it have been officially adopted by 4 Points Press Publishing Company. After seven months of tweaking that section of the site, we are comfortable with its appearance and purpose. We are well on our way to becoming a permanent member of the family of websites that make up the Internet. In the face of the success we have enjoyed so far, we are still committed, more now than before, to enhancing our newsletter while at the same time maintaining its integrity, serviceability and accessibility so that more people can enjoy it. Thank you all for the tremendous job you have done in helping our circulation base grow; it benefits us all.
Our staff and I extend our sincerest hope that you will recommend this newsletter and our site to others.
