NOTE FROM Marie Villarreal, Chief Editor

Welcome to PressPoints© NETNEWS!

This newsletter will be published on the 5th of each month.

To start with, our goal is to produce a newsletter that we hope you will enjoy reading and relating to. This is our third edition and we are feeling quite at home with the format now, as we hope that you are.

Our inaugural edition, as well as our second edition, were very well received and the feedback is still very positive. You will notice that this edition, as the others, we have introduced more features and improvements to keep the newsletter serviceable and easily accessible so that more people can enjoy it. Thank you all for helping our circulation base grow; it benefits all of us.

Last month we introduced a new feature, Gamin' n' Gamblin' which has been a huge success; it has made Ha3ry, our crap dealer, a celebrity. He is arranging for a gamin' site to add to his feature. We hope that when it debuts you will have fun with it.

And if travelin' is your game, Travel n' Tips is your feature. "Nate", through our webmaster, at KinAuzSon DaZinesŪ, is adding a travel documentary onto our site. I know that every one has a travel story, like every one has a gambling and a fish story, so send them on in to us. We have plans to add other fields of interest as we go along.

This month we have added a new feature, NICE n' LIGHT, with new by-liner, "Marty Crenshaw". His gig is human interest stories and we sincerely hope that you will support him.

We apologize for not launching, as we had promised in the previous issue, "THE OEDIPUS SYNDROME", our first major literary endeavor, a serialized novel, by first time author, Maria Giusto. Our webmaster was not satisfied with the scope of our security software.

Also  The Emigrant, a novella in four chapters, by Maria Giusto, made its first chapter debut, on 4PointsPress, last month. The second chapter The Return to Sicily follows this month.

Our future plans for other new website segments are in the works. They will not necessarily wait for our monthly newsletter but rather they will appear as they are ready. We have plans for update notification to all of our subscribers which should be in place some time in March.

Last week we announced our baker's corner, Giusto Biscotti, Sicilian dunkin' cookies, lovingly hand made by Chef Raymundo. You will be able to purchase our Giusto Biscotti Sicilian dunkin' cookies online with your credit card, money order or check some time around mid March. We will also have an on line printable order form for your friends and family who are not online.

Another new segment currently in the works is our Artists Corner. All items from artisans will be offered with minimum bids attached. Any artisan wishing to include their creations, for bidding, please contact me, editor@4pointspress.com, for details and a procedure to submit your creations.

POINT OF VIEW
IT'S A MESS!    by Marie Villarreal
What a mess it 'tis! Instead of looking forward, we are dealing with what was...... I never thought that my quandary about President Clinton not quietly and graciously exiting his office would come to pass. That gives me the courage to write about where we're at and where we might be going.

NICE n' LIGHT
INCREDIBLE JOURNEYS    by Martin "Marty" Crenshaw
We have all heard and read stories of lost dogs making incredible journeys trying to return to their masters. More unusual is to hear about cats --- countless stories of cats journeying or psi trailing hundreds of miles to track down an owner or return to an old home.

DIET n' DOWN
MANAGING STRESS    by Alcamo "Al" Passagento
Last month I promised you that we would discuss how stress contributes to sabotaging our eating habits. There are many different ideas about stress - It can be positive or negative. In any case, we can learn to identify and manage stress so that we can be in control.

QUILL n' PEN
STORY PLOTS    by Marie Villarreal
What is a story plot? This subject is a long and involved one and will probably carry us over into a lot of months. But, for time's sake, I'll try to make it brief.

READERS n' WRITERS
BOOK CLUBBING    by Genviev Pannous
I like the idea of a book club.... they have become a popular group activity both in physical gatherings and in book stores, as well as in internet chat rooms. Well, I'm for starting a PressPoints NetNews Book ClubŪ.

NUTS n' BOLTS
SMOGS & PRICES    by Mac Meguire
If you live in California and own a vehicle, then you have probably gone through the vehicle registration process. So you receive the Department of Motor Vehicle (DMV) License Tag Renewal from and notice that a Smog certificate is required from a "TEST ONLY" station. Do you know the difference between a "TEST ONLY" and "SMOG TEST and REPAIR STATION"?

NUGGETS N' NOTHINGS
FORMULAS FOR SUCCESS    by Roy "Cliff" Evans
Since we are a compulsory education country -- then almost all of us have been to high school commencement exercises for at least one family member or friend. Recently Bill Gates gave out some hair-raising advice to a high school graduating class. It was advice, he said, that he had self formulated and had never learned in high school. Now, whether we like him or not, he has proven himself a man to be listened to.

GAMING n' GAMBLIN
ROLLING WITH THE E-MAIL AND THE E-CRAP TABLE    by Ha3ry Giusto
I see in my mail box two very interesting questions. What is the difference between 'Bank Craps' and 'Open Craps'? and What does it mean to "Fade the Shooter"?

TRAVEL n' TIPS
TRAVELIN' LIGHT    by Nathaniel "Nate" Yaekel
How about that! United Airlines honored the mistaken fare quote of $25.00 round trip to Paris. Of course, it's the mother of all travel bargains and the last one we'll ever see again. However it did get me to thinking and my mind started to play the 'What if?' game.
